THE AFTER-PIECE.

YESTERDAY afternoon, pursuant to their sentence, were executed, Col. LINN, FERTIG, and POLESKI, who were tried at the last Circuit Court of the United States, for murder. They were conducted from the goal about 4 o'clock, by the Constables of the town, and preceded by Maj. Gen. Brooks, Marshal for the Massachusetts District, and Col. BRADFORD, Deputy Marshal, and followed by an immense concourse of Spectators. At half past 4 they arrived at the place of execution, at the bottom of the common, whence the County Stage was carried for that purpose. They appeared very penitent in their last moments, and were attended by a Roman Catholic Priest, who appeared very devout in his exercises. A little before 5 they were launched into eternity, in presence of as large a crowd of people as ever attended on such an occasion.
