January 14. A letter from Plymouth, dated January 10, says "Came in his Majesty's ship Rainbow, from a cruise: She took, off Cape Finisterre, an American privateer, called Dorion, of 18 nine-pounders, and a sloop, with 110 men, and about 6000 dollars on board. The Rainbow parted with her in a gale of wind; but the privateer's men are on board this man of war. As soon as the Rainbow arrived at Plymouth, an express was sent up to the Admiralty with some papers of consequence taken out of her prize.
