Special Dispatch to Clipper.

Rawlins, June 27.-A special train with delegates from Chicago convention made fast time in a race with a train on the D. & R. G. Rio Grande train left Denver ten minutes ahead of the U. P. train. U. P. beat them seven hours and fifteen minutes into Salt Lake. Train left Rawlins 6:43 p. m., arrived at Salt Lake 6:15 a. m. Green River 8 hours and 12 minutes; arrived at Ogden 4 a. m. Some places 70 miles an hour was made. Cheyenne to Green River 10 hours and 40 minutes. distance 859 miles. From Rawlins to miles an hour. Changed engines at Cheyenne, Rawlins and Green River.
