Consignment From Jacksonville for New Church Building Lost.
There has been trouble in receiving the McCarrell stone, material to be used in the construction of the new Episcopal church in this city. Notwithstanding that this stone was billed from Jacksonville via the Atlantic Coast Line several days ago and should have arrived here within twelve hours, nothing has been heard of the shipment since it left Jacksonville, and it has become necessary to send a tracer after the material.
Fortunately Mr. Robertson, who has charge of the building, has not needed the material, or it would have delayed him for a short time.
Owing to the inclemency of the weather Saturday it was necessary to stop work on the building, but Contractor Robertson hopes to be enabled to resume promptly Monday morning.
The foundation is now being laid, and work will be rapidly pushed to completion.
