Jackson Jail Sensation.

In regard to the jail board question which caused a recent sensation at Jackson upon the discovery that a number of prominent citizens, several ladies among others, were entered on the jail record and charged with board. Jailer Fairley made a lengthy statement in which he showed that all persons arrested for misdemeanors or otherwise are required to be placed in jail and that the jailer has no discretion, but must treat persons arrested as jail prisoners whether in or out of jail, and to charge them with board.
