Receives Nursing
Scholarship

Miss Norma Jean Green, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence M. Green and a graduate of Saint Pius X High School, left Saturday to attend nursing school in Springfield, Mass., where she has a scholarship to the Mercy Hospital of Nursing there.

Miss Green, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Frances Green, plans to visit her two aunts, Mrs. Margaret Roanal and Mrs. Addye Bynum of Jersey City, New Jersey and Jamaica, Long Island respectively, before continuing to Springfield.

Miss Claretta Maria Green, sister of Miss Norma Green, will be leaving Saturday to go to Xavier University in New Orleans where she will begin her sophomore year. Miss Green is majoring in chemistry.
