HARRISBURG, PA., June 9.-The State Treasurer to-day refused to pay the members of the Legislature the full salary claimed by them, $1,500 for 150 days' service. The law under which the members have been drawing their salaries, provides that they shall receive $1,000 for a regular session not exceeding 100 days, and $10 a day for not exceeding fifty days, but the Attorney General has decided that the per diem feature of the law is unconstitutional, and has advised the State Treasurer not to pay the members more than $1,000. The latter have determined to bring suit against the State Treasurer next week, for the money which he has refused to pay them. The Attorney General says he will abide by his opinion until the court of last resort convinces him that he is in error. The suit for the unpaid salaries will be instituted under a law passed by the present Legislature which adjourned to-day.
