BRANCH LINES ARE CLEARED

The Northern Pacific company issued a statement late this afternoon to the effect that the Clearwater train will make the through trip to Stites and will return to Lewiston about four hours late.

The Vollmer train was successful in making the through trip, reaching Vollmer at 1 o'clock or an hour and a half behind time. This train is expected to arrive in Lewiston about three hours behind the schedule.

Conditions generally with the railroad company are reported to be materially improved by the drop in the rivers last night, and it is expected the regular service will be in effect on the Clearwater and Vollmer lines tomorrow and on the Spokane-Lewiston line by Sunday.
