DEER KILLED NEAR WEST JEFFERSON

A deer was killed by an automobile near the farm of L. M. Garrett near West Jefferson Thanksgiving day. The deer, a doe, was believed to have been the first killed in Madison county since Indian days, Game Protector Ward said.

The deer was dressed and the meat given to the Madison county Children's Home, Mr. Ward said.

At the same time, Mr. Ward said that deer permits may be obtained from Hume Hardware London. Smith's at Rosedale and Haas Hardware at Mt. Sterling.
