MARTINS TO VACATE EXECUTIVE MANSION EARLY IN JANUARY

Tallahassee, Dec. 22.-Florida executive mansion, to be occupied for the next four years by Mr. and Mrs. Doyle E. Carlton, of Tampa, will be available for its new tenants on January 4. On that day, Governor and Mrs. John W. Martin, present occupants of the mansion, will move out.

The governor-elect and his wife already have been advised that they may have the mansion on that date. The four days extra tenancy will give the Carltons an opportunity to become established here prior to inauguration day, which is January 8.

Governor and Mrs. Martin, during the interim between January 4 and January 8, will live at a local hotel. They are planning to change their place of residence from Tallahassee to Jacksonville as soon after the inauguration as possible, and will have their possessions taken to the latter place before taking up their hotel life.

Plans of Governor-elect Carlton and Mrs. Carlton for the initial task of acclimating themselves to local surroundings are a bit indefinite yet in the absence of official information from Tampa.
