Electricity can be used for farming purposes by means of a newly patented device, the power wires being strung on poles along the edges of the field, with smaller wires across it to transmit power to the trolley on a motor in the traction engine, which draws the plows or mowing machine. The small wires being insulated from the earth by means of inverted V's with clamps at the top, the wires being slack to permit their removal to one side when the engine passes.
