The great iron-clad Dunderberg, recently launched from the ship yard of William H. Webb, at New York, is causing both her builder and the Government great trouble. The contract price to be paid for building her was $1,250,000; while she has cost $2,000,000. The Government, without special legislation, can not pay more than the contract price for her. $3,000,000 has already been offered by a foreign Power to buy her, and what to do in the case is a question which has been referred to the Cabinet.
