Event Details
Two or three of the "young bloods" of Dillon, becoming brave through frequent interviews with the "cup that cheers," attacked an innocent and apparently defenceless calf. One seized it by the ears; another, grasping its tail, attempted to pull its back-bone out by the roots. The next moment he—but no; pen cannot describe the demoralized condition of that young man; it is sufficient to say that in the melee that ensued, the boys came out second best, and the innocent calf, disdaining to glance at the fallen heroes, marched proudly away.
