To the Printers.
On the 15th Instant I had the Pleasure to observe the Solar Eclipse, which according to my Watch set by a Meridian Line that Day— began 1h 20m P. M. at 2h 25m the Sun's Disk was eclipsed full 10 3 Digits—I cannot be positive as to the exact Time of its ending (the Weather being cloudy) but by the best Observation I could make, it ended 3h 33m P. M.
Another of our Correspondents informs us, that by bringing the Sun into a darkened Room, he observed the Penumbra first touch'd the Sun's Disk at 1h 6m 30" P.M, at 2h 23m the Shadow began to decrease, when there was 10 3 Digits eclipsed. The Weather being cloudy the End could not be observed exactly; but the Penumbra was off at 3h 28m
