Remains Lying in State.

New York, Oct. 13.-The remains of Cardinal McCloskey were borne to the Cathedral in state today, followed by a body of priests headed by Archbishop Corrigan, Monsignors Quinn, Farley and Preston and Rev. Dr. McDonnell.

The body of the Cardinal was dressed in full ecclesiastical robes. Four candles burned at the corners of the catafalque. When the doors were thrown open a crowd quickly filled the center aisle, passing along on either side.

People, after viewing the remains, left the church by another exit.
