CHARTER ELECTION.
The election for charter officers was held yesterday, and the result is a complete triumph for the Working Men. They have prevailed in the 1st, 3d and 5th wards, and have carried their ticket for assistants in the 4th ward.
This gives the Workingmen a majority of 8 in the common council. The city is revolutionized in a shorter time than was Paris, and with no bloodshed!
The workingmen can say, with Cæsar—"Veni, Vidi, Vici."
