An Editor Charged with Encouraging Gambling.—Mr. Nathaniel R. Stinson, editor of the New York Day Book, was arrested on Saturday morning, charged with encouraging gambling in his paper. Mr. A. Oakey Hall, District Attorney, made the affidavit upon which the warrant of arrest was issued. The affidavit charges that on the 1st of October an advertisement appeared in the Day Book of an illegal lottery in the State of Georgia, and that there was a favorable notice of the same in the editorial columns.
