Board of Supervisors.
The Board of Supervisors elected in
this County stands 12 Republicans and
4 Democrats. The following, are the
names of the gentlemen composing the
Board:
Alton—E Sanborn, Rep
Buffalo Grove—C. H. Jakway, Rep
Byron—E. P. Baker, Rep.
Cono—Mr. Hovey, Rep.
Fremont—Mr. Fleming, Rep.
Homer—Mr. Allen, Dem.
Jefferson—J. Johnson, Dem.
Liberty—Wm. Logan, Rep.
Madison—J. B. Ward, Rep.
Middlefield—Mr. Kerr, Rep
Newton—Mr. Richardson, Dem
Perry—D. B. Sandford, Rep.
Superior—Wm. C. Nelson, Rep.
Sumner—Mr. Beach, Rep.
Washington—G. W. Bemis, Rep.
Westburg—Mr. Wilkinson, Dem
So far as our acquaintance extends
with these gentlemen, we feel authorized
in saying that they are intelligent men.
and will make capable officers. Most of
the selections could not have been bet
tered, and we think, as a whole, a more
capable board could not have been elec
ted. We feel confident that the interests
of the County will not suffer in their
hands. We feel more assured than ever
of the popularity of the new system with
us.
