HOMICIDE AT TWIN BRIDGES.-Mr. Thos Deyarmon, Sheriff of Madison county, informs us that Robert Dempsey, well known in Montana, shot and killed a half breed named William O'Donnel at Twin Bridges on last Thursday night. He was a boy Dempsey had raised. He became vicious, getting drunk and threatening the lives of the family. On this occasion he had a rifle and threatened to shoot one or more of the family. Dempsey seized him, got possession of the gun, and shot him through the breast. He died in a short time. Dempsey went to Virginia and surrendered himself. It is believed the act was in self defence.-New Northwest.
