According to Letters from Madrid of the 5th Instant, some Affairs of the greatest Importance are on the Anvil at that Court; but the Nature of them is kept very secret: In the mean Time it is observed, that Couriers are continually a going to and fro, and the Ministry seem to have Abundance of Work on their Hands. Mr. Keene continues to confer frequently with M. de Carajal, the Prime Minister; and they say, his Excellency expected every Hour an Express from London, whose Dispatches will bring to an Issue his Negotiations about the Privileges he demands for the English to cut Logwood in the Bay of Honduras; and also about a free Navigation in the West-Indies.
