Boston, Nov 5.

The Election of Electors of President and Vice President of the U. S. took place in Pennsylvania on Friday, last; but as the election is by General Ticket, the result cannot be known until the returns are officially published from the seat of government. The votes in the city and suburbs were for the War Ticket, which was carried by a considerable majority, the Inspectors permitting the hired men in the public works, foreigners and strangers of every description to vote. It is ascertained in the public journals of the city that the number of these unqualified votes could not have been less, by some hundreds, than the majority boasted of in the city by the War Hawks
