We learn from Rhode Island, that Capt. Drew in a Vessel belonging to that Place, on his Passage to Monti Christo, boarded and took a French Brig from the Missisippi, laden with Logwood, Furr, &c. Capt. Drew had but 2 Guns, and no Commission, notwithstanding which he sent the Brig to Connanicut (about 3 Miles from Newport) with Advice thereof to his Owners, who immediately sent out a Snow, (belonging to them, which lay ready for the Sea, and had a Commission) to take Possession of her, which they did, and after keeping her at Sea two Days, bro't her into Rhode Island.
