KINGSTON, January 18.

Captain Sawyer, of his Majesty's brig Porcupine, seized two American vessels on his late cruize, trading with false papers, which he sent into Montego-Bay for trial.

The above wholesome severity will, it is to be hoped, convince these lawless Republicans, that though they are suffered to vent their rancour in print against the British nation, without fear of punishment, they are not to set the English navigation laws at defiance, with impunity.

His Majesty's ship Europa, of 50 guns, is under orders to sail upon a cruize.
