LONDON, April 18. On Saturday last, a whimsical Wager was run at Sidnam, between one Buckstone, a Blacksmith of that Place, and one Franks, a Butcher; the former who was almost blind with Age, was to ride round the Two Mile Course on a Horse of 30 Years old, against the latter, who was to go on Foot; the Son of the old Man rode before, on a white Horse, to prevent his going on the wrong side the Post, by which Direction he won the Race by about 20 Yards; there were a vast Number of People from London, and the whole gave good deal of Diversion.
