Gathering of Scientists.
Buffalo, N. Y., Aug. 22.-Men of learning from every part of the country are filling up the hotels preparatory to the great gathering of scientists which will be in progress throughout the coming fortnight. The conventions will include those of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Mathematical society, the American Chemical society and the American Geological society. Meetings of the executive committees of these organizations are being held.
