This island has received a very flattering mark of favor from England. We have had a court of Admiralty established here, in preference of all the other islands which will be considerably in our favor.

His majesty has continued Mr. Byam in his office of Judge of Admiralty, with a salary of 500l. sterling, which places him in a very independent situation.

We hear that a number of your countrymen are carried into St. Kitts and Tortola and it will be some satisfaction to the concerned to know, they will be judged by a court, where a new and his property without the expense of relief ruined by the expense attending. Mr. Burke is the advocate general of the court.

The uprightness of his character is as well known to you as it is to all the inhabitants of the Island.
