Sweeney Announces
Candidacy

COLUMBUS, O., Dec. 18 (INS) Former Secretary of State Charles F. Sweeney, Wakeman farmer, today announced he would again be a candidate for the Democratic nomination to that office in next May's primary.

Sweeney, who held the office in 1949-1950 served four two-year terms in the House of Representatives and was also a member of the State Liquor Board. He resigned from the latter office in 1948 to conduct his successful campaign, but was defeated in his bid for re-election by Republican Ted W. Brown.
