A Mysterious Disappearance.

Dayton, O., Nov. 29.—George Mendel, foreman for contractors who built a big concrete dam here, has been missing for three weeks and it is supposed that his remains are buried in the structure. Three Sundays ago Mendel was summoned to the partially completed dam, which had sprung a leak, and when last seen he was standing on the structure. It is thought that he may have fallen in the river and been swept under the unfinished portion and that when it was constructed the concrete formed his tomb.
