Germany Hears War Warnings

Five Nations Make War-Like Threats on Germany

LONDON (SNS) Warlike warnings on Germany had been made by five nations Monday as British cabinet ministers meeting in emergency session today may consider ordering a "state of readiness" for the armed forces, similar in some respects to mobilization. The British apparently moved to be ready for any "Hitler surprise."

The allied powers of Britain and France led in the warning of Germany to prevent an invasion of Czechoslovakia. Soviet Russia, Sumana and Yugoslavia are understood likewise to have issued warnings that their armies would march across Europe to aid the Czechs.

Germany has been contemplating taking under protection 3,000,000 Sudeten Germans in Czechoslovakia at their insistence.
