DEMOCRATIC CONTESTS HIGHLIGHT OF BIENNIAL STATE PRIMARY ELECTION
Only Two Races In Santa Cruz County; Three Seek State Senator Nomination, 2 For County Supervisor In District No. 3

Arizona voters will go to the polls Tuesday and choose nominees for the general election in November.
As usual, chief interest in the primary is in the various races for Democratic nominations.
In Santa Cruz County there are but two contests--William H. Hathaway, incumbent; Ferald W. Parks and Miss Mary Stella Rosenberg seeking the Democratic nomination for State Senator and A. B. Sorrells, incumbent, and T. G. Dunham, the Democratic nomination for County Supervisor in District No. 3.
State Contests
With the exception of Auditor Ana Frohmiller and Superintendent of Public Instruction E. D. Ring, all of the officials seeking re-election have opposition, as follows:
For United States Senator: Carl Hayden, incumbent; Joe Conway and Henderson Stockton.
Congress: Richard F. Harless, John R. Murdock, incumbents; and William (Bill) Petersen. (Two to be nominated.)
Supreme Court Judge: A. G. McAlister, incumbent; Arthur T. La Prade.
Governor: Sidney P. Osborn, incumbent; William Coxon.
Secretary of State: Dan E. Garvey, incumbent; James H. Kirby.
Attorney General: Earl Anderson, E. P. Cline, John L. Sullivan, Fred O. Wilson.
State Treasurer: John M. Scott; William T. Brooks.
State Auditor: Ana Frohmiller.
Superintendent of Public Instruction: E. D. Ring.
Mine Inspector: Clifford J. Murdock, Roy V. Hersey, Howard McKinney.
Corporation Commissioner: Wilson T. Wright, incumbent; Mit Simms.
Tax Commissioner: Thad M. Moore, incumbent; Warren Petersen.
Seeking the Republican nomination for governor are Jerry Lee and Harry F. Michael, both of Phoenix.
The Republican nominations for Congress are sought by Mrs. Marguerite Adams Rockwell and A. M. Ward. Mrs. Rockwell is a daughter of the late J. C. Adams of the Hotel Adams of Phoenix.
No names of Republican county candidates appear on the Santa Cruz ballot.
