Christmas At Hospital For Colored Veterans

The colored veterans at the Marine hospital were not forgotten on Christmas, and greetings and good cheer came to them in their respective wards at the institution. Telegrams from President Hoover and others were read and much appreciated by the inmates. Major M. S. Lombard and Charles H. Ketchum were present, with Dr. Alfred De Barritt presenting the gifts on behalf of the staff. A solo by Grace Sands was much enjoyed as well as the singing of the choir from the Trinity Presbyterian church choir. Elder Smith spoke a few words of greeting to the inmates, and a most enjoyable program was closed with prayer.
