Capture of William Rudolph and Fred Lewis Regarded as Certain.
St. Louis, Jan. 27.—It is believed that William Rudolph and Fred Lewis, the supposed Union, Mo., bank robbers and murderers of Detective Charles J. Schirmacher, will be captured inside of twenty-four hours. Scores of armed men are scouring the country, within a radius of thirty miles of Stanton. This morning two horses, worn out and covered with gashes and welts inflicted by whips and spurs, were found near Potosi, in Washington county, and it is believed they were used by the murderers in making their escape. Rewards aggregating $1,500 have been offered for the arrest of the men. It is reported from Stanton that securities to the amount of $90,000 were recovered today from the house of Frank Rudolph.
