"All goes well! We carried the Question for the Repeal this Morning at 2 o'Clock by 275 against 167- I hope the Business is decided now, and that there is nothing to be feared in the Lords House. Mr. PITT came in on Crutches, (both Legs wrapped in Flannel) for your service: He bore Testimony for you, and staid it out. I was there 13 Hours, tho' ill of a Cold; was it not for the Victory, I could scarce hold up.-- Be full and strong in Expressions of Gratitude to the Mother Country, and depend upon it, you will not suffer from her. I hope every Evil will be removed from you. and Peace and Contentment as usual. be soon fully restored to you. You have good Advocates among the Lords. Besides Lord Camden, you have Lord Gowers, and Lord Marchmount, two Men of Parts and Knowledge; and there are more I do not name: They are known."
