Club Meeting on Saturday Night.

Casper Shleich addressed a large audience on Saturday night, among which were a number of ladies. His speech was clear, logical, and delivered with much animation. He spoke more than two hours, and was listened to with the utmost attention on the part of his hearers, who loudly applauded him. He swept away the cobweb of non-intervention with the irresistible broom of fact and argument. Those who heard him will readily perceive the reason why certain old line back Whigs dread to meet him. He makes them chew a bitter cud.
