PRIZE BOUNTY FOR
BRITISH NAVY MEN

London, Aug. 22. 1:12 p. m.-A prize court today awarded 12,100 pounds prize bounty to the officers and crews of the squadron of Vice-Admiral Sir Frederick Sturdee which destroyed the German Pacific squadron in the battle off the Falkland islands in December of 1914. The bounty was determined by the number of men aboard the destroyed ships, 15 being awarded for each man.

The prize court also awarded the officers and crew of the Australian cruiser Sydney 1,985 pounds in connection with the sinking of the German cruiser Emden in November, 1914.
