Forts George and Erie.—A number of reports have been in circulation respecting the capture of these two places, but we believe them to be without foundation—The last Buffalo Gazette is entirely silent on the subject. Private advices received at this office are, that commodore Chauncey had commenced the bombardment of fort George on the 13th inst. The fact is not improbable; as we had been previously advised of the concentration of large bodies of our troops at Niagara.
