STOCKHOLM, Nov. 3.

The first of this month, about 7 o'clock in the morning, the Queen was safely delivered of a Prince. That agreeable event was immediately announced to the people by four successive salvos of 256 pieces of cannon.

The King afterwards went to the cathedral of St. Nicholas, attended by all the royal family, to return thanks for so wished for a benefit. Te Deum was afterwards sung, when 1024 guns were fired.

On the King's leaving the church his Majesty was followed by an immense crowd of people, who made the air resound with their acclamations.

The birth of the Prince occasions the more joy, as there had not been born an heir to the crown of Sweden since the year 1682.
