Full Text

A Point for Teachers.

Owing to the number of fearful accidents which are caused daily by the ignorance of children and older people, it would be well for the principal of our public school and the commander of the Military college to give practical lessons showing their scholars the danger of the different kinds of explosives. In this way many lives will be saved and accidents avoided. In a number of cases the parties finding caps belonging to giant powder cartridges have not the least idea what they are, and, like the boy who blew his fingers off this week, begin picking at them with a pin, or even putting them in their mouths.
