Charged With Embezzlement.

James Mulcahey has been employed by Mr. J. J. Hogan for the past three years as a canvasser and driver of one of his wagons. Lately returns from bills sent out failed to come in with the usual promptness and an investigation was set on foot. It was disclosed that Mulcahey was an embezzler. Mr. Hogan swore out a warrant yesterday for his arrest and Officer Weedon arrested him, and he is now locked up in the First Precinct Station. Among the bills collected and not returned was $147 from John Lang, of Georgetown; George Kozel, $93, and others amounting to over $300. Mr. Hogan thinks his losses will foot up over $500.
