Full Text

[COMMUNICATED.]
FOURTH OF JULY.
Mr. Snowden—Can you inform me whether
the 4th of July next will be celebrated in this
place with appropriate ceremonies? If it is to
be celebrated, I should think that it is time pre-
parations were making for the occasion. In
these times of "Experiments," &c. something
should be done to awaken us to the spirit of our
forefathers.
A Lover of His Country.
[We believe no arrangements have, as yet,
been made to celebrate the Anniversary of our
National Independence, but hope that prompt
and efficient means for that purpose will at once
be taken.]
