Postoffice Inspector Chas. R. Reese informed an Advertiser representative that Lexington meets the requirements for free city mail delivery system. The volume of business transacted is ample, and the streets and sidewalks are in condition to fill the demands of the department in regard to passability. If the people of Lexington so desire, they can get free delivery. All the houses may have to be properly numbered, but this should be done anyway, as Lexington long since passed out of the village stage and is a full-fledged city in every way.
