The following Paragraph is not published by Way of Joke or Reflection on the unhappy Sufferers, but on Account of the Verity and Remarkableness of the Fact.
'Twas observable, that on Wednesday last, after the Fire in the Temple, Two or Three Leaves of a Bible half burnt, were picked up near the Ruins, in one of which the following Words remain legible; Ezekiel xxviii. 18. Thou hast defiled thy Sanctuaries by the Multitude of thine Iniquities, by the Iniquities of thy Traffic; therefore will I bring forth a Fire from the Midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to Ashes upon the Earth, in the Sight of all that behold thee.
