Massachusetts Election:

We congratulate our Republican readers on the prospect of the Massachusetts election. Although the probability is that Mr. Strong will continue our Governor for one year longer; still, (as we heretofore predicted,) it will terminate propitious to the cause of unsophisticated liberty. The federalists appear to be flushed with the issue of the election ; but the more discerning of their party are tremblingly awake to the acquisition of correct information, since the last Gubernatorial Election : which has awoke the "Sleeping Sampsons," laid siege to the prop of the enemy's Strong hold, and will soon force the towering battlements of Aristocracy to yield to the Citizen-Soldiers of Liberty. Let the Republicans bear this animating truth in recollection ; that one more victory such as the Federalists have just now obtained, will accomplish--the complete OVERTHROW OF FEDERALISM.

Votes for Governor, in three hundred and ninety three towns, give Mr. Sullivan, 32,315 Governor Strong, 33,462
