SCOTT SCHOLARS - It's back to school for the four 1958-59 recipients of Scott Paper Foundation Home Economics Scholarships, shown chatting with Mrs. Enid Smallwood (center), Home Economist for Scott Paper Company. Selected last Spring by their respective colleges to participate in a competitive elimination, the "Scholars" were judged by a committee of Home Economists from leading Negro colleges and are (left to right) Clarice Walker, Spelman College, named top ranking finalist; Sadie Bell Bussey, Benedict College; Clara E. Watson, Shaw University and Edith M. Tucker, Bennett College. The scholarship program provides for a grant to the top finalist covering the entire cost of her education for her junior and senior years, and grants to the remaining three finalists covering their tuitions for the same two-year period.
