Full Text

New Bedford, Mass.,—The 10 per cent wage cut that 28,000 textile workers are resisting will not solve the ills of this industry, declared Rev. Fr. Henry J. Noon of St. James' church, writing in a local paper.

"Every city that has tried this cut finds that it has solved nothing," said the clergyman. "Conditions today are no better than before the cut. I feel certain that the people are not going back to work under the conditions demanded by the employers and I want the mill men of this city to realize what happens in the future will always be laid at their feet."
