Bad Train Wreck On Southern Pacific
Roseburg, Or., April 22.-All traffic on the Southern Pacific railroad between Oregon and California was at a standstill early today as a result of one of the most serious freight wrecks on this line in many months. In the wreck which occurred six miles north of Oakland, Oregon, early yesterday three engines and four freight cars are piled up at the side of the tracks and one brakeman has a crushed leg. The train was proceeding slowly after having climbed a steep hill and what caused the derailment is not clear.
It is expected that traffic will be moving at a normal rate this afternoon.
