Truman Receives ADL Award at White House

WASHINGTON, (JTA) President Truman was presented with "America's Democratic Legacy Medallion" by the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith at the White House this week. The President said he was happy to accept the award.

Meier Steinbrink, New York State Supreme Court Justice and chairman of the A.D.L., who made the presentation, pledged to the President the support of B'nai B'rith in his civil rights stand. Steinbrink asked the President not to lose courage or faith in his program to insure civil rights for all Americans.
