Full Text

Musical.- A Band has been formed in North East, with brass instruments. It has been organized but a few months, and is already able to perform quite creditably. There is, also, an excellent musical company in Elkton, under the direction of Mr. Lancaster, which charms our citizens occasionally with serenades of rare and rich music. As a result of this musical influence, half the boys are now blowing through old fifes and flutes or sawing on fiddles. The era of music is on us, and it is a science we are happy to see cultivated.
