We have just received, but too late for this day's paper, the report of a Committee of the Senate, to whom was referred the case of Hamet Car Amalli the Ex-Bashaw of Tripoli. The report is highly honourable to Mr. Eaton and the officers of the squadron, but censures Mr. Lear for his conduct, and to the honour of the committee, the report recommends this unfortunate prince to the protection of the United States, concluding in the following emphatick terms.

"The committee are confident that the legislature of a free and christian country, can never leave it in the power of a mahometan to say that they violate their faith, or withhold the operations of justice from one who has fallen a victim to his unbounded confidence in their integrity and honour."

The Report will be given in our next.
