Deadly Bear-Fight.-The Visalia Delta Says:
"We received a week or two since, from Buena Vista county, a memorandum book and two or three letters, belonging to a Mr. F. P. Stephenson, alias "Long Dave," formerly of Tulare. The body of Mr. Stephenson was found lying within twenty feet of a large grizzly bear, and both of them dead. There was every appearance of a desperate struggle near the bodies, and the bear was cut deeply in many places and also shot many times. The man was badly bitten and had one of his arms and some of his ribs broken."
